A 4-2 lead in the decider vanished with an error-strewn service game from the German. Now the shock was reaching boiling point, but Zverev staved off match point with a clattering serve out wide. It was brave and it did the trick. Minutes later Zverev had teased sufficient errors from the Dzumhur racket. The roar at the end said it all; Zverev prevailed 6-2 3-6 4-6 7-6(3) 7-5.
