Madison Keys, the No.13 seed, has made wonderful progress through the tournament, not dropping a single set en route to the semi-finals. She admitted she once had a pretty rocky relationship with clay but added after her defeat of Yulia Putintseva: "I'm definitely liking the clay a little bit more now that I have made a semifinal here!"
